One of few facilities in the nation to combine the treatment regime of a rehabilitation hospital with skilled long-term care provided by a residential facility. This unique approach generates referrals from throughout the United States.

Employee Spotlight Outstanding Staff Making a Difference Every Day

  Tyler Nelson

Winning Wheels is proud to have Tyler Nelson on our Comprehensive Rehabilitation Team. Tyler works in the Dietary department and has been with Winning Wheels since July of 2006. He was encouraged to apply by family and friends already working at the facility. Tyler has developed both personally and professionally while working at Winning Wheels. Tyler says he is, "more professional now and can better relate to people".

When asked about fun things he has done at Winning Wheels, Tyler remembers the Winning Wheels Idol competition in 2008 and also accompanying the residents on an outing to Hooters. He feels that he makes a difference every day with helping the residents. Tyler's future goals for his career are to become a certified cook and possibly someday be in Administration. Tyler's co-workers especially like working with him because of his great work ethic and attitude. They say he is special and we are glad to have him on our team!

  J.J. Pritchard

Winning Wheels is proud to have J.J. Pritchard on our Comprehensive Rehabilitation Team. J.J. started at Winning Wheels right after she graduated high school and completed the Certified Nurse Aide course Winning Wheels provides. J.J. is now a Certified Physical Rehabilitation Aide, certified in CPR, CPI, and is currently a Certified Nurse Aide Team Leader.

When asked why she likes working at Winning Wheels, J.J. responded, "I don't know where to even begin . . . ". She loves working at Winning Wheels because of all of the different activities she is involved in with the residents. She participates in the outrigger canoe, swimming, horseback riding and everyday fun activities. When asked what makes the difference at Winning Wheels, J.J. said, "it is definitely the staff and how much they truly care for the residents."
