Lyndon Progress Center is a non-residential facility offering various services to the residents of both S.T.R.I.V.E. and Winning Wheels, as well as to citizens of the surrounding area.

Horticultural Therapy at Developmental Training

Developmental Training Program

The Center is the location for the Winning Wheels Developmental Training Program. More than thirty Winning Wheels and S.T.R.I.V.E. residents currently attend this program.

The Developmental Training program is operative on weekdays and enables persons served to acquire adaptive living skills through programming in such areas as consumer education, nutritional planning, interpersonal skills training and care attendant management.

Greenhouse

The Greenhouse located at the Lyndon Progress Center is a "hotbed" of activity. Day Treatment participants are busy this Spring filling getting their hands dirty and working on that green thumb. The Greenhouse is soon brimming with flower blossoms due to the hard work of everyone involved.

Employee Training Programs

The Lyndon Progress Center is also used for various continuing education seminars, including Advanced Nurse Aide Training, Resident Care Attendant Training and Habilitation Aide Training Programs for caregivers.

Our training programs are approved by the Illinois Department of Public Health and are conducted by certified instructors. Anyone interested in enrolling in our training program is encouraged to contact us using the contact information listed at the bottom of this page.

Winning Wheels Nurse Aide Training Program 0522

16-Hour Classes Scheduled (Days One and Two):

  • April 5 & 6
  • April 26 & 27
  • May 10 & 11

Nurse Aide Training Class (Day 3 through end of class):

  • May 18 through June 25, 2010

Winning Wheels Nurse Aide Training Program is a facility-based program and students are enrolled by the nursing facility where they are employed. For more information on Winning Wheels' training programs, please contact the Lyndon Progress Center at 815-778-3610, extension 10.

Lyndon Play and Learn Center

Also located at the Lyndon Progress Center is the Play and Learn Center, offering quality professional care and great fun rolled into one. Each child's day is filled with entertaining and educational activities that are led by certified professional staff.
