Play And Learn Center

The Lyndon Play and Learn Center offers quality professional care for children ages 6 weeks to 12 years. We are licensed by the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services and offer programs designed to provide direction for children's growth in the following areas: Cognitive, language, fine and gross motor, self-help and socialization.

Children's programs also include active and passive play and psychomotor activities. The facility's gymnasium is utilized for indoor play. A secure outdoor playground is located adjacent to the Center, and is fully equipped with a sandbox, swings and a climber. There is a separate creative play area for toddlers.

We offer before and after school care for children in the area school district. During the summer and on school holidays, we offer a unique program for school-aged children. We also offer a preschool program for four and five-year-olds (at no additional cost for children already enrolled in day care).

The Lyndon Play and Learn Center serves a balanced breakfast, hot lunch and morning and afternoon snacks. Our facility is air-conditioned and is open from 6:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday for the working parent's convenience.

Preschool

Through the use of thematic units, we plan to introduce to your child name recognition (first & last), shapes, colors, numbers, counting, the alphabet, phone numbers, addresses, and birthdates.

Throughout the year, we provide our parents with a monthly calendar labeled with our thematic units. We also provide daily lesson explanations on a marker board outside the daycare entrance.
